Prayers to The Great Mother

The Great Mother / Absolute Deity / Dea Matrona / Mysteria / Deam Mysterium

Ground of All Being, Ultimate Source, the Supreme Being, Gnostic Monas, the Great Provider, the abundance of the Cosmos.
She is the original Fountain, the Great Cosmic River, from which all else flows.
She is not so wholly transcendent that She is not also with me as I am in Her. We may describe what She is not and we may also describe what She is, as far as our finite minds are capable.

Etymology of Moura

Moura meaning dark and death in the Janite Tradition.

This is an inclusive word.

For Janites it suits The Great Mother being ‘Dark beyond the light and Light beyond the darkness’. It also suits the coming suffering of the Holy Daughter/World Soul Di Jana. To me, death meaning an end to this soul path and eventually a return to Dea.

For those who are Filianic believing in a symbolic death, perhaps Moura could also be seen as suitable for them.

Sophia Ruth

“Etymology

Moura is a homonym word with two distinct roots and meanings; one from Celtic *MRVOS, the other from Latin maurus.

The word “moura”, (medieval: mora) feminine of “mouro”, is thought to originate from the Celtic *MRVOS [ ‘dead’, also related to the Welsh marw. http://repository.uwtsd.ac.uk/381/1/CARLES%20FERNANDEZ.pdf ] and the indo-european mr-tuos that originated in Latin the word mortuus and in Portuguese/Galician the word morto (dead). Some authors think that the mouras are the deceased.

There is also a possible relation to the Celtic word mahra or mahr, meaning spirit.”

Sunwheel – The Violet Candle of Faith

ArchMadria Pamela Lanides

great-mother-veiled-origin-of-eternity-fora-of-faith (Image by Sister/Sorella Sophia)

Today, within the Divine Life Cycle, we honor Mysteria, the Great Mother, as the Veiled Fora of Faith. She is known in both the Janite and Lucienne communities as Dea Matrona, which means the Great Mother Goddess (Great Mother God). “The Gaulish theonym (which should be theanym, in this case) Mātr-on-ā signifies “great mother.”

The title, Matrona, comes from the Goddess, Dea Matrona (1)  for whom the river, Marne, was named (in ancient times it was called the Matrona river). She is Absolute Deity, the Dark beyond the light and the Light beyond the darkness.

The Violet candle also signifies the Season of Moura, the direction of Center, the time of the Dark Hour before the Dawn, the Fora and Madrias Candre, Theia and Rhea. The Mystery is Moura which encompasses the Descent of the Holy Daughter and as Madria Erin of the Auroran Tradition so aptly phrased it, The Divine Shattering. (2)

First light the Green Candle of Wisdom and say, “O, Dea, Apple of Wisdom, be with us.”

Then, light the Yellow Candle of Hope and say, “O, Dea, Star of Hope, be with us.”

Light the Violet Candle of Faith and say, “O, Dea, Fora of Faith, be with us.”

The candle is lit before dinner or early evening, followed by a the brief scripture reading and prayers on Sunnadi. We will continue to light the Violet candle each evening of the week, although the same scripture reading and prayers are not necessary. A devotee may say a brief prayer, in their own words, for the candle lighting during the remainder of the week. The candle is extinguished after the evening meal.

Title 2, Chapter 1
THE CRYSTAL TABLET Verses 1 – 11

1. Existence is a web of tapestry.
2. A web is a pattern of many crossroads connected by short paths.
3. Some crossroads are the intersection of many paths, some of but a few. Some are great and some are small.
Each path has its own colour.
4. Every crossroads is a choice, and every choice has a spiritual meaning.
5. In each turning we choose either to come closer to Perfection or else to move away from Her.
6. In the first way the soul perfects herself in beauty; in the second she grows duller and more coarse.
7. In the first way she learns happiness even in dearth, and gathers riches of the spirit; in the second she learns pain even amid opulence, and the spirit walks in rags.
8. Where lead the paths? The first to the foot of the celestial throne; the second to the dark gates of the realm of death.
9. How shall the soul know her direction?
10. As in the world of matter there are four fixed points by which the corporeal vessel may know its course, so, in the compass of the spirit, are there three to guide the soul.
11. The first is life, or wholeness, the light of the Absolute; the second is light, or force, the light of the Mother; the third and gentlest light is love, the Light of Our Soteria, the Holy Daughter.

Please note that the Lucienne Tradition uses the Ostara Cycle in the lighting of the Sunwheel while the Janite Tradition uses the Divine Life Cycle, but the basic meaning is the same.

3 Simovane / November 2nd: Feast of Darkfire

3 Simovane / November 2nd: Feast of Darkfire

This feast day is in honor of the Dark or Great Mother. We usually refer to Her as the Great Mother, Dea Matrona, because the title of Dark Mother tends to raise images of a Kali like figure whom we dare not approach or an image of a Chthonic goddess. In reality, the term ‘Dark’ simply means that She is that aspect of the Holy Mother Who is Source and Unknowable. This is why She is also known, in our Faith, as the Veiled Origin of Eternity and as the Dark beyond the light and the Light beyond the Darkness, She Who Is.

~

I have always loved the way the Holy Mother is defined by those who have had Near Death Experiences. They often describe their experience of the Holy Mother as a Shimmering, Luminous, Knowing, Dark Light full of warmth. It is pure black often with velvety tinges of dark purple. A source of strength. Sanctuary. The Womb of Creation. The Core of all Being. A shimmering darkness, peaceful, wonderful, bliss-filled Which imparts knowledge.

cauldron-fire

For Clan Jana households, this is an holy day. The Rite of Gifts or Great Liturgy of Dea is usually celebrated and may include meaningful rituals such as a bonnie-fire, camp fire, hearth fire or even a symbolic cauldron fire depending upon what is available to each household.

~

Sophia Ruth has, again, contributed many wonderful rites for this holy day:

(In the British Isles) besom brooms were made and were used to ritually sweep over the door steps and sweep up the fallen leaves up for a bonnie fire.

besom-broom

The besom is used as this time both practically and symbolically. It sweeps away the last of the Autumn leaves, but is also used ritually to sweep out the old, to clean and clear away old energy, creating space for the new. Traditionally besoms are made from birch twigs – the birch is associated with purification and renewal.

You can make a besom at this time of year by gathering a large bundle of birch twigs tied together. Drive a broom handle into the middle of the bundle – ideally hazel or ash.”
http://www.goddessandgreenman.co.uk/samhain

Each person wrote their faults on pieces of paper and threw them into the bonnie fire. These would rise up in the smoke to Dea to help us overcome.

“The tradition of a bonfire celebration (for Samhain) lasted longer in some rural areas than in others. At Fortingall in Perthshire, a fire was held on a Bronze Age burial mound until the early part of the 20th century. The local community danced around the fire while it was in full blaze, and then returned home for traditional Halloween games. This took place on the 11th of November, the time of Halloween (Samhain) in the old calendar.”
http://www.mysteriousbritain.co.uk/festivals/october/halloween-samhain.html

“In some areas it was customary to throw a stone with a personal mark on it into the ashes of the fire. These had to be retrieved to ensure luck for the coming year.”
http://www.mysteriousbritain.co.uk/festivals/october/halloween-samhain.html

“After the festival they re-lit the fires in their homes from the sacred bonfire to help protect them, as well as keep them warm during the winter months.”

moon-and-bonfire

This is a day of purification and fire is known to be symbolically purifying. Fire, unlike the other elements, does not exist in a natural state. Its physical form can only take place by consuming some other element. Fire is the transformer, converting the energy of other objects into other forms: heat, light, ash, and smoke. (1) And so we understand it to be representative of our own inner transformation.

~

purple-flames

Incense and the smoke from certain herbs are known to be purifying. Smudging oneself and household with sage is known to be both purifying and cleansing. Add purifying herbs or incense to the bonnie-fire such as benzoin, cedar, coal rosemary, sage, thistle, thyme, valerian and vervain are part of a rite of purification. We undertake this with great solemnity and contemplation, after which, we may celebrate with a bonnie fire dance in celebration of She Who both purges and renews.

On this day, we consume foods which are indigo, purple, black and other dark foods.  In fact, nutritionists are realizing that black foods are higher in antioxidants than green! In fact, “black foods have more antioxidants than light-colored foods because of their high pigment content,” says Cy Lee, Ph.D., a professor of food chemistry at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. Can’t find one of these deep-hued superfoods at your local supermarket? Try natural-foods stores and ethnic groceries.

purple-fruits

It’s a scientifically-proven fact that the darker the food, the higher the antioxidant level. Antioxidants are to the body, the way rust-proof works on a car – they have the ability to mop up free radicals and keep you looking younger, longer. Thus, dark foods with a purple pigment, such as purple onions, concord grapes, purple cabbage, black mission figs, prunes and blackberries, are known for having amazing healing powers.

The purple pigment in all of these fruits and vegetables contain flavonoids, including resveratrol, which can help decrease blood pressure. Resveratrol helps relax the arterial walls, decreases the pressure in the arteries and allows better circulation. Produce with purple hues contain a variety of polyphenols that can reduce the inflammatory response in the body. In my book Meals That Heal Inflammation, I outline how inflammation is at the root of all major diseases, including heart disease, diabetes, arthritis and immune dysfunction. (4)

The LLC Research on Divine Guardian Transport Animals & Moon Goddess

Over the past week, I have done extensive research into the myths related to the Greek-Roman Titanides (after whom The Seven Divine Guardians of The Lady of Light Chantry are named).  I was particularly looking for clues regarding how these Goddesses were thought to (symbolically) travel (on the spiritual plane) from Heaven to Earth.  I also considered the transport animals of other Greek/Roman Goddesses of similar powers/virtues.  Finally, I compared these transport animals to some of those used by Anglo-Saxon Goddesses of similar powers/virtues.
See the following information below:
https://deamatronablog.wordpress.com/seven-divine-guardian-transport-animals/

The LLC Seven Divine Guardian Transport Animals

1st Kyria Thea (Eos-Aurora or Saule-Sol-Sunna, or Beiwi & Rozhanitza)-Lady Vision, VISION BRINGERS [2 flying sun horses or 2 flying sun reindeer],

2nd Kyria Phoebe (Selene-Luna, & Artemis-Diana)-Lady Clarity, ENCHANTMENT BRINGERS [2 flying moon horses, or 2 flying moon bulls-oxen, or 2 flying moon reindeer],

4th Kyria Metis (Minervas+Muses & Iris or Gna+Valkyries)-Lady Wisdom, MESSENGER HORSE [1 flying messenger horse-with or without wings],

9-griffin_tn
Griffin – Griffon, or Gryphon = Eagle & Lion

5th Kyria Themis (Nemisis)-Lady Justice, AVENGING GRIFFIN [1 flying winged griffin],

6th Kyria Tethys (Quan Yin)-Lady Grace, WATER DRAGON [1 water swimming/flying dragon],

7th Kyria Rhea (Cybele) Lady Patience, PEACEFUL LION [1 leaping lion]

~~~
In researching the imagery for the Titanide/Divine Guardian, Kyria Phoebe/Lady Clarity, I sought to understand how the various Greek-Roman Moon goddesses (Selene-Luna, Artemis-Diana, Hecate-Hekate, Persephone-Proserpina, and a group of Moon Goddesses known as the Menae/Menai) were connected to Her and to each other and to the moon.
I thought it would help if I created a diagram listing the Maternal Genealogies of all the Greek-Roman Moon Goddesses.  I was amazed by what this diagram revealed.
There were three lineages: one from Kyria Thea (the Moon in Heaven), one from Kyria Phoebe (the Moon on Earth), and one from Kyria Rhea (the Moon in Hell aka the Underworld).  This is exactly how we understand the roles of the Divine Mother, the Divine Daughter and the Divine Dark Mother.
She is The Dark beyond (not without) the Light: She who is incomprehensible, unknowable
She is The Light beyond the Darkness: the Divine illumination of the pure Intellect, beyond the light of reason, but not contrary to sound reason.
The Dark One creates Life….gives life…governs the seasons…restores all life to wholeness
mystery
early 14c., in a theological sense, “religious truth via divine revelation, hidden spiritual significance, mystical truth,” from Anglo-Fr. *misterie (O.Fr. mistere), from L. mysterium, from Gk. mysterion (usually in pl. mysteria) “secret rite or doctrine,” from mystes “one who has been initiated,” from myein “to close, shut,” perhaps referring to the lips (in secrecy) or to the eyes (only initiates were allowed to see the sacred rites). The Greek word was used in Septuagint for “secret counsel of God,” translated in Vulgate as sacramentum. Non-theological use in English, “a hidden or secret thing,” is from late 14c. In reference to the ancient rites of Greece, Egypt, etc. it is attested from 1640s. Meaning “detective story” first recorded in English 1908.
http://www.etymonline.com/index.php?search=truth
She is Beautiful, and Good and Comforting…nothing about Her is Ugly or Evil or Terrifying.
She is not the Grim Reaper or the Dreaded Death or the Fearful Horror.
When Aristasians warn against the worship of the Dark Mother, they are probably referring to those who worship a “parody” of Her…i.e. Urkala…and revel in horror and evil and terror and death as a negative force. Unfortunately, some of the images of Kali are just that.
Matrona
The Matrona is She who is the “Great Mother”, or in dearer and more familiar terms, the “Grandmother”, the Mother of All Mothers.  The single title of the “one” Dea Matrona means the Divine Great Mother (Goddess Great Mother) and the plural title of the “three” Deae Matronae means the Divine Great Mothers (Goddesses Great Mothers).  Both of these titles have been used in reference to Dea throughout Europe.   These earthly forms of Dea reflect Her Heavenly singular and triune essence.  The title Matrona is equal to the titles Modron and Magna Meter. The title Dea Matrona is equal to the title Mahatma Devi.
I came across this very interesting article about the life of a Roman Matrona.  The words of the author give us a glimpse of the inner integrity of a matrona and the high regard with which she was held by her family and community.
UNIVIRA: THE IDEAL ROMAN MATRONA
http://lumina.hnu.edu.ph/articles/olasopeOct09.pdf
Why don’t we use the word “crone” to refer to Dea beyond form?
Crone:  What does this word really mean?
Crone is not a feminine version of Chronos meaning Time
Crone is not a feminine version of Corona meaning Crown
Crone: is actually a feminine version of Carogne meaning Corpse
There are no positive or flattering connotations to this title.
It is an altogether negative and insulting term.
crone
late 14c., from Anglo-Fr. carogne, from O.N.Fr. carogne, term of abuse for a cantankerous or withered woman, lit. “carrion,” from V.L. *caronia (see carrion).
carrion
early 13c., carione, from Anglo-Fr. carogne (O.N.Fr. caroigne; O.Fr. charogne, 12c., “carrion, corpse,” Mod.Fr. charogne), from V.L. *caronia “carcass” (cf. It. carogna, Sp. carroña “carrion”), from L. caro “meat” (see carnage )
Comment:
Within my last post I made reference to the Dark Mother or Lady without form. The post of course was also focused on the Janya Aset Melanae who I believe can be legitimately viewed as the Dark Lady, as Holy Darkness or Good Quiet and as a reflection of the Mother without form. None of these aspects of Dea can be legitimately viewed being any form of glorification of the negative or of evil. To give a bit of extra clarification on this subject I am reblogging an article from the My Devotion to Dea a blog owned by Sister Sophia Ruth. The article “Mysteria Dea Matrona” clarifies the subject to a substantial degree. It also includes an additional short discussion of the concept of the Crone which I think is very good.
inspired by ArchMadria Pamela’s post
All LIFE rests in potentiality, within Source or Absolute Deity, the Great Mother, Dea Matrona.
She Who is the ‘Bright Shimmering Darkness’ and the ‘Dark beyond the light and Light beyond the Darkness’ The Ground of all being. Dea is the first, and highest and only necessary “thing” [Intelligence/Spirit] that exists.
Dea Matrona emanated / “breathed out” the Matrix & Creatrix, Dea Matrea, Celestial Mother Mari.
~~~

The seed, containing the blueprint and essence of the life of the Apple Tree, is symbolic of the Matrix & Creatrix, Dea Matrea, Celestial Mother Mari, Who, Herself, contains the Supernal Blueprint and ESSENCE of the Tree of Life.
She gathers from Source or Absolute Deity, the Great Mother, the seeds containing the Essence of Life and She births [emanates] them into material manifestation. Therefore, the Holy Mother Mari is, for us: Dea, Apple of Wisdom.

~~~
The outer apple represents the material manifestation of Creation. The inner spiritual seeds containing the Essence of Life, taken together with the outer apple of material manifestation represent the two Threads of the Spiritual and the Material being woven together to create All Being, FORM, which is exactly what Divine Soul Di Jana, Apple of Wisdom, signifies.
2. Apple beads x3 in Mashan Jade (Dyed Apple Green Marble)
10mm x3 (41 beads) £3.73 1/2 pence  https://www.beadshopuk.com 0.09 pence each x 3 = 0.27  pence
The healing properties of Marble is used as a cleanser which is beneficial for the blood, skin and systems that help cleanse the body such as the lymphatic, digestive system and integumentary system. Metaphysically this stone is beneficial for clarity during tantric activities and meditative states. It aids strength of self control and mastery of thought. It improves total recall of dreams and provides protection, stability and structure of one’s physical, emotional and spiritual facets.
3. three seed beads in clear rock crystal quartz
8mm (6 beads) 0.99 pence http://www.charming-beads.co.uk 0.1 1/2 pence each = 0.99 pence
Its name derives from the Ancient Greek “krustallos” meaning ice because they believed that quartz was ice that never melted because it was formed by the gods.
Properties – Believed to be the most powerful healing and energy amplifier. It absorbs, stores and releases energy and is excellent for unblocking.
4. “septade” 4x (Earth) beads in Dark Blue Dyed Jade
10mm (38 beads) £4.48 1/2 pence  http://www.beadshopuk.com 0.12 pence each x 4 = 0.47 pence
5. “septade” 3x (Heaven) beads in Purple Dyed Jade
8mm (10 beads) £2.96 https://www.beadshopuk.com 0.29 1/2 pence each x 3 = 0.88 1/2 pence
Jade is known as the “heart” stone as it enhances all aspects of love, is also known as the stone that brings abundance and is also known as stone for bringing emotional balance and stability. Jade is also known to give self reliance and confidence. is known also for its protective qualities especially with children with illnesses. Jade comes in many shades of green. Jade is more known in ancient times for its toughness. Jade may also come in shades of grey, white, black, yellow or orange or even violet tones.
Type C Jade: This refers to jade that has been color enhanced (to be blunt, dyed). Jade is a porous stone so it is easy and inexpensive to dye. A variety of methods can be used – from sophisticated polymers to as simple as boiling the jade in dyed water. Most bright green jade and purple jade is the result of dye, but clever sneaky jade dealers are also dying the color so that it is subtle and mottled – just slightly better than it was – so that it looks more natural.
Jade Imitations
These are materials that look like jade (sometimes extremely convincingly!) but are not at all jade – not even remotely related to it.
Dyed polycrystalline quartz (aka dyed chalcedony): This is very convincing because it has the same granular-looking translucence as jade (even with a microscope!). You can tell the
difference sometimes because the quartz will take on a higher polish than the jade (vitreous luster vs. waxy luster)
Glass:
Plastic:
Serpentine:
Hydrogrossular garnet
Chrysoprase
13) and still beneath the branches and the bole (trunk) lie the roots in darkness, like unto She that is beyond both being and unbeing. 14) and even as the tree’s roots are not seen, so can there be no knowledge of the Absolute; for to know is to have passed beyond knowledge. (Title 3, Chapter 5 THE SERMON OF THE APPLE SEED).
As the canopy of the tree represents the Love of the Daughter and the trunk represents the Light of the Mother, so do the roots represent the Life of the Great Mother Who is Absolute Deity or the Monas (One). The Great Mother is the Ground of All Being, the Divine Source of the All. Our Celestial Mother and the Holy Daughter find Their completeness within Her.
Some Traditions understand the Great Mother to be similar to the goddess Kali, a goddess of both life and destruction and that is perfectly acceptable from a more Eastern approach to the Divine Feminine Trinity, principally from Shaktism. As such, certain Traditions are careful to not approach the Absolute, directly.
As Janites (along with the Lady of Light Chantry, headed by Rt. Rev. Georgia E. B. Cobb), we tend to be more Western in our approach to the Great Mother. We are Trinitarian-focused in our prayers and rites. We do not fear to approach the Great Mother.
In the same manner, in certain denominations of Christianity, God the Father is understood to be the Ground of All Being/Absolute Deity and yet, the Father is known through His Son and He is worshiped. Christians do not fear to approach the Father.
tree-roots-on-a-river
Tree Roots in the River
Though the Great Mother is the Darkness beyond the light and the Light beyond the darkness and as such, there is much that we cannot know about Her, She is revealed to us through the Divine Mother, the Holy Daughter and especially, through Madria Rhea who represents the Great Mother.
The Great Mother is the Source of the All and so what flows from Her helps us to know Her. She is the Eternal Wellspring of the River of Life and the Eternal Source of the Celestial Mother, of the Holy Daughter, of the Janati and all the living.
Though there is much that is unknowable about the Great Mother, as Our Mother who gave us Life, She knows us, intimately. Though we call Her by Name, that Name is Mystery: Mysteria. (Thanks to ArchMatrona Georgia Cobb.)
)
8734322
The roots, ah the roots in the dark soil, such a fitting analogy for the Great Mother Who is the Root of All Life in Her Shimmering Darkness. In Her Twilight time of day, She is the Sheltering Stars above us. (From our liturgy.) In Her time of the Darkest Hour before the Dawn. She brings us the Light.
12 )Life is the life of the spirit- the First Principle; beyond being and unbeing. Life Was before existence. Life is the cause of existence.
16) Let her (the soul) not trust the ground her feet are set upon and doubt the Ground upon which that ground stands. Rather, let her doubt the sea, the sky, the fingers of her hand and the breath of her mouth; for all these things may be illusions, as, in some sense, they are.
17) But, let her know Life Divine as the Truth beyond truth and the Faith beyond faith and doubt. (Title 2, Chapter 1 THE CRYSTAL TABLET).
In our day and age, in this time of troubled confusion, many have given up on the idea of faith. They feel it is an outmoded idea and tend to forget the strong roots that Faith can bring into our lives and into our hestias (sacred hearth-homes). But, the tree cannot stand, the tree does not have life without the roots that cannot be seen. So deep into the ground do they go, but, they are there.
Some believe it is folly to believe in that which cannot be seen and yet, we learn from quantum physics that the unseen is the source and potential of all that is seen and so it is with the Great Mother.
We know the Holy Daughter, as visions of Sophia have shown, as the sky above us, as the natural world around us and within each of us because the Holy Daughter is the Soul of the World and She is our soul. We are One with Her and through Her, we are One with the Mother and through Them, we are One with the Great Mother/Absolute Deity, though our finite minds lack complete comprehension of this Great Mystery.
We know the Celestial Mother as the Flame in the temple of our hearts and in the love of every mother for Her child. We know Her through prayer, through aeons of generations, through visions, through scripture and through ageless Tradition.
3a80437d0e307c345c2cf85c00479d40
But the One Absolute Root remains buried deep within the cosmic soil. Hidden. Beyond the soil. Beyond the cosmos. Beyond manifest creation. And yet, without that One Root there would be no manifest creation. There would be no life. No soul. No spirit. No Mother. No Daughter. No Janati. No cosmos. No world. No Heaven. The Great Mother is that Still Centre Point of the great Cosmic Fora from Whom the All flows.
Though She is hidden, though She is Mystery, like the Holy Daughter and the Celestial Mother, we may approach Her as we would a beloved Grandmother. In Her quiet Stillness, in Her luminous Darkness, She is always there, waiting.
The Holy Daughter gives us our soul through Her Love.
The Celestial Mother gives us our spirit through Her Light.
The Great Mother gives us life for She is Life.
And that is enough for us to know. As the scriptures state: 15) And from this tree of all knowledge and of the boundaries beyond which knowledge cannot pass, I have given you but the seed of one apple.  18) But, I am not sent to discourse with you upon these matters, but to lead you to deliverance in Perfection. 19) And all the knowledge that shall bring you to deliverance is contained within the seed of an apple. 22) Therefore, when you think upon the questions of life, of time or of the spheres, contemplate first, the seed of Truth and let your thoughts unfold from that seed. 23) Let the pure and single note of Truth attune your souls. Then, shall mind rise up into soul and soul breathe the breath of Spirit. (Title 3, Chapter 5 THE SERMON OF THE APPLE SEED).
For Janite Deanists, (Day-an-ists) the Divine Feminine Trinity is Dea Madria/Mother God; Dea Filia/Daughter God and Dea Matrona/Great Mother God. Each, in our Tradition, has a royal title (1):
The Holy Daughter has three Royal/Priestly titles:
3421252_orig
The Holy Daughter is Princess of the Earth.
24) And the Genia (Janya) said: It is good that you bring your crown, for you are a great princess, but the Holy Child shall be Princess of all the World. (The Mythos of the Divine Maid, Chap. II verse 24.)
…1) To You I give the governance of all these things. 2) You shall command the movements of the waters and the wind shall be Your servant. 3) The seasons of the Earth shall You control and all the times and seasons in the lives of My creatures. 4) Every soul on Earth and in the Heavens shall be given into Your care and the highest stars of the firmament shall know You as their Sovereign….  6) And the Maid ruled over all the world... (The Mythos of the Divine Maid, Chap. II verses 1-6.)
This is reminiscent of both Persephone, who governs the Seasons and of Daughter Sophia, Who is the World Soul and governs Creation.
In Chapter II, the Genia/Janya continues to explain that the Holy Child, like the Goddess Sophia, is the Daughter of Wisdom. ( Lower Sophia is the Daughter of the Barbelo, Who is Higher Sophia, Wisdom, Herself.)
Sophia Come, eat of My Bread and Drink of the Wine I have mixed. These are the words of Wisdom/Sophia as found in Proverbs 9/5.
The Holy Daughter is Priestess of Heaven [mediating to the World]:
30) And the Genia/Janya said: It is good that you bring your crown, for you are a true and loving priestess and a servant of your people, but the Holy Child shall be Priestess of all the world and shall serve Her children even to the last and greatest service. (Mythos of the Divine Maid chapter 2 verse 30.)
16: And She stood at the great Altar and took up a wheaten loaf (for full text see Mythos of the Divine Maid, chapter Seven verses 16- 24.)
goddess-queen
The Holy Daughter is Queen of Heaven.
10) And the children of Heaven greeted Her, crying: Hail, Princess of the World; Hail, Queen of Heaven. And they placed a crown of stars about Her head. 11) And the blue night was Her cloak and the stars of the sky, the crown about Her head and the moon lay at Her feet. And they cried again: Hail, Queen of Heaven. (Mythos of the Divine Maid chapter seven verses 10 and 11.)
(We have three versions of the Traditional main prayer to the Divine Feminine in the West, the Hail, Mary. The words are basically the same for each Person of the Trinity, which illustrates that Dea is One. The Hail, Anna version reflects the fact that the Holy Daughter is both Daughter of the Mother and Mother to us all.)
Hail, Anna, [Jana] Fount of Grace, Glory be to Thee. Blessed art Thou, O, Queen of Heaven and Blessed is Thy Beloved Mother. Holy Dea, Daughter God, bless us, Thy children, now and unto the ages of ages. Amen. [‘so be it’]
1441225453428
The Celestial Mother is the Mistress of all Things and from Her flow the Seven Rivers of Life (the Janati and their Powers/Virtues).
1) Before and beyond all things is the Mistress of All things, and when nothing was, She was. (The Creation, Chapter 1 verse 1.)
e3076f2aa4083c4b7ea543e117b74855
In Janite Tradition, the Celestial Mother is the High Queen.
Hail, Mari, Fount of Grace, Glory be to Thee. Blessed art Thou, O, High Queen of Heaven and blessed is Thy beloved Daughter. Holy Dea, Mother God, bless us, Thy children, now and unto the ages of ages. Amen. [‘so be it’]
CroneGoddess
In Janite Tradition, the Great Mother (equal to the Barbelo) is the Empress.
Hail, Mysteria, Fount of Grace, Glory be to Thee. Blessed art Thou, O, Empress of Heaven and blessed are the Beloved Mother and Daughter. Holy Dea, Great Mother God, bless us, Thy children, now and unto the ages of ages. Amen. [‘so be it’]
~
And so, the Holy Daughter is the Queen of Heaven; the Celestial Mother is the High Queen of Heaven and the Great Mother is the Empress of Heaven. Together, they are One. Blessed is She.

Eternal is the Light of the Mother.
Eternal is the Love of the Daughter.
Eternal is the Life of the Great Mother.
Glorious is the Eternity of Dea.
May Our Lady bless you,
Blessed is She.
extract from the Traditional Catechism of the Deanic religion
17. Who is the Dark Mother?
She is Absolute Deity, Who existed before the beginning of existence and is beyond being and unbeing.
18. What is Her Nature?
She is outside space and time; She is all that is and all that is not.
https://deanic.com/the-catechism/catechism/
I found the following extracts from articles to be useful in understanding this concept/Mystery.
Ground of Being
One of the sophisticated concepts used by great Christian theologians is that of “The Ground of Being.”
This concept indicates, not that God is the fact of things existing, but that God is the basis for the existence of all things. God is more fundamental to existing things than anything else. So fundamental to the existence of all things is God, that God can be thought of as the basis upon which things exist, the ground of their being. To say that God is The ground of being or being itself, is to say that there is something we can sense that is so special about the nature of being that it hints at this fundamental reality upon which all else is based.
The phrases “Ground of Being” and “Being itself” are basically the same concept. Tillich used both at different times, and other theologians such as John McQuarrey prefer “Being Itself,” but they really speak to the same concept. Now Sceptics are always asking “how can god be being?” I think this question comes from the fact that the term is misleading. The term “Being itself” gives one the impression that God is the actual fact of “my existence,” or the existence of my flowerbed, or any object one might care to name. Paul Tillich, on the other hand, said explicitly (in Systematic Theology Vol. I)
that this does not refer to an existential fact but to an ontological status. What is being said is not that God is the fact of the being of some particular object, but, that [S]he is the basis upon which being proceeds and upon which objects participate in being. In other words, since God exists forever, nothing else can come to be without God’s will or thought, and since there can’t even be a potential for any being without God’s thought, all potentialities for being arise in the “mind of God” than in that sense
God is actually “Being Itself.” I think “Ground of Being” is a less confusing term. God is the ground upon which all being is based and from which all being proceeds.
How Can “a Being” be Being Itself?
Part of the confusion stems from a misunderstanding of what is being said. I say that God is ‘necessary being’ not “a necessary being,” not because I forgot the “a” but because God is not “a being.” [S]he is above the level of any particular being that participates in being, but exists on the level of the Being, the thing itself, apart from any particular beings. There is Being, and there is “the beings.” This is a crucial distinction, but it leaves one wondering what it means and how it could be. I think the answer lies in the fact that God is ultimate reality. God is the first, and highest and only necessary thing that
exists, and thus, had God not created, God would be the only thing that exists. Could one somehow ponder a universe in which God had not created, in which God was all that was, one might well ask “what is it to be in this universe where there is only God?” In such a universe the only conceivable answer is “to be is to be God.” In that sense God is Being Itself.
God is the ground of being
Let us think about the traditional attributes of God. For thousands of years the
theologians have said that God is eternal, in the sense that this ultimate reality (unlike the
physical universe) has no beginning or end.
The theologians have said that God is omnipresent, which actually means that — since this reality lies outside our box of space and time — it is everywhere and nowhere. The word “where” we remember refers to physical location at a specific point in space.
The ground of being is immaterial and incorporeal, because it is not composed of the electrons and protons and neutrons and other types of matter which form our physical universe.
It is omnipotent because it is not subject to the law of entropy, and can never run down or decay.
It is also ineffable, which means that we cannot talk about it in ordinary human words.
Our human minds are so imprisoned within the box of space and time that we can barely even imagine such an alien reality: it confronts us as das ganz Andere, the “Wholly Other,” and sends a shiver down our spines.
This ground of being is the infinite itself, the boundless, what the pre-Socratic philosopher Anaximander called the apeirôn, that primary existent out of which everything else in the universe came into being and was formed.
In Ancient Near Eastern religion, it was the Primordial Abyss which existed before the
creation of the world, what the ancient Greek creation myth called Chaos, the gaping void which was all that existed at the beginning of all things. It was the all-swallowing gulf which the ancient Babylonians mythologized as the she-monster Ti’amat.
