28 Moura / 19 March The Divine Shattering

These are just a few collected notes, that I have gathered together.

Name of the Day is still being discussed.

Personal: Latin Quassare “to shatter,”
of Quatere “to shake,”
from PIE root *kwet- “to shake”

which reminds me of the word vibration, the Holy Daughter’s torturous Descent down through the ever increasingly denser and darker dimensions eventually causing…

“for She has given a portion of Herself in order for each human to come into being in this world. In giving of Herself to humans, in this state of physical density and isolation, the World Soul becomes shattered. This shattering can be metaphorically grasped in considering what might happen to a glass alembic or flask when too much pressure is put upon in the alchemical works. Thus, the Shekinah represents the ultimate archetype of selfless sacrifice. All Her sacrifices have been for the benefit of creation so that humankind may experience this life in order to fulfill its destiny and purpose. (3). And, this is exactly how we understand the Sacrifice of the Holy Daughter.

3) http://www.universalkabbalah.net/Shekinah

So the one word Quassare leads me through the Cosmic drama in it’s entirety.

(Interestingly enough, in Greek, Divine Shattering is Feminine: theía thráfsi.)

Janite Dea-nic Tradition: Kala (meaning “black, of a dark colour, dark-blue …” or “a fixed or right point of time, a space of time, time … destiny, fate … death”).

The Importance of this day

“On this day, Janites spend a day in somber remembrance of this greatest, most heart-rending, soul wrenching, sacrificial myrrh-infused, stopped moment out of time when all the Cosmos holds its breath; the  most knee-bowing, head-veiling, thunderstruck, awestruck, Shining Being witnessed, Ultimate, Primordial Love Sacrifice of the Most Pure and Holy Daughter. She literally gave Herself to us. And, She never left us. She stayed.

The ancient Romans/Greeks had a day/period of lustration.
I feel this idea is very fitting for female Deanic clergy and devotees. Many ancient religions held rites of Purification, modern religions do, as well, in the form of baptism, Mikvahs and other purification rites.

Purification baths are inherently feminine in nature. Water is feminine and powerful. It is a carrier of information and energy.

Madria Candra is the Mistress of Purity, the Guardian of Spirit and Ruler of Moura and so it is quite fitting that
Lustration would occur during the Sacred Month over which She rules.

Janites practice the ancient rite of lustration / purification (salts and oils based upon frankincense, a symbol of Her priestess role – for the Holy Daughter and myrrh as one of the substances used in the purification of women would be appropriate) and veil in solemn honor of the Divine Mystery: Her Descent and Shattering on 28 Moura / March 19 (March 18 on a leap year). Also in preparation for the symbolic sharing of the life-giving Soul of the Holy Daughter on Eastre.

Frankincense flowers are 5 petaled just like one of our Seven Great Symbols of Our Faith, the Rose of Joy. The Frankincense flower petals symbolise to me Divine Spirit suffused through the four elements: water, fire, earth and air of the manifest realms.

This is one day that I think a fast might be considered, but never mandatory. Fasting comes in different modes. [See my notes below].

May the Queen of Heaven, She Who is the Divine Shattered One; She Who is the Holy Soul of the World; She Who is the Queen of Heaven, bless you and be with you. Blessed is She.

ArchMadria Pamela Lanides
[ Sorella Sophia, I fast overnight and eat breakfast / a snack when I am hungry.

1. A Full Fast – These fasts are complete – no food and no drink.

2. A Regular Fast – Traditionally, a regular fast means refraining from eating all food. Most people still drink water or juice during a regular fast.

3. A Partial Fast – This type of fast generally refers to omitting a specific meal from your diet or refraining from certain types of foods.

Here are some types:

A. Overnight is a full fast for women of 14 hours and for men of 16 hours. If your last meal is at 8pm tonight, you wouldn’t eat again until 10am (women) or 12pm (men) tomorrow. This method generally means you’ll be skipping breakfast.

B. Warrior is a regular fast for about 20 hours during the day and eat one large meal at night within the 4 hour feeding time. During the fasting part of the day, you can consume a few servings of raw fruits and vegetables, fresh fruit/veggie juices, and a few servings of protein (protein shake, some nuts, boiled eggs, etc) if desired. These are kept quite small.]

Guiding Star of Hope, Midnight Star of Wonder

8 point Northern Star of Hope & 5 point Pentagram Star of Wonder

Guiding Star of Hope

Dea Filia or Daughter God is the (North) Guiding Star of Hope.
As the Star of Hope, the Holy Daughter comes to us as our Soteria (Saviouress in that She is here with us, gives us our souls and guides us back to the Divine Mother).
The Northern Star is a symbol for North, which is the corresponding direction for Winter in the Deanic Faith.

When I compare the sun symbol shape to the Northern Star – visually it is emanation.

north-star northern-star-in-lights

The Holy Daughter is said to have been born of (She emanates from) the Holy Mother during Winter at Midnight in our Cosmic Drama. The Sacred Time for Winter, according to our correspondences, is Midnight. The Northern Star is also sometimes known as the Midnight Star.Sailors use the Northern Star to navigate the often-times treacherous seas of the northern hemisphere, it was the Guiding Star home, just as the Holy Daughter, the Great Dove of the Waters, guides us back to the Celestial Mother and to the Supernal Realm which is our True Home. Our Lady is known as Stella Maris, Star of the Sea. The Star itself was once known as Stella Mars (Star of the Sea).stella-maris-blue

The North Star became a symbol for finding your way home safely and symbolically finding your way in life. But beyond that, as many sailors were deeply superstitious with a rich history of lore about life and death at sea, they were always looking for lucky charms. So many sailors began to place nautical star tattoos on their forearms or hands as a symbol of good luck and a desire to get home safely.
Skip forward through the centuries and the meaning of the nautical star tattoo has become broader. Not only is it a symbol of the sea, but also a sign of security and guidance for all sailors and travelers. It has also become a sign of following your dreams and achieving success in your life.

The Northern Star, or Polaris, also appears to ‘stand still’ in the sky, while all the other stars revolving around it just as the Janati and all hosts of Heaven surround Our Lady. It is a ‘fixed’ point in the sky, a constant companion for setting one’s course just as the Holy Daughter is ever with us to guide us on our own Soul Path.

This star was also sacred to the Greeks, Egyptians and other ancient world cultures.

Midnight Star of Wonder

I have a personal difference to Janite thealogy.
Our predecessors in the Madrian Faith used the upright pentagram which probably arose from studying Pythagoras.

I view the upright pentagram (5 pointed star) as the Midnight Star of Wonder, the “epiphany” star announcing the presence of the Holy Daughter in the manifest planes.

The ArchMadria and majority within the Janite Tradition have taken the decision that the upright pentagram (5 pointed star) has been adopted by Wicca and neo-Paganism faiths as their main symbol. Also despite the fact that the pentagram was used in early Christianity, it is still associated with evil, unfortunately.

Therefore the guiding Northern Star is more appropriate.

Feast of Coronation / Exaltation of Di Jana as Queen of Heaven – Regina Coeli

Feast of Coronation / Exaltation of Di Jana as Queen of Heaven – Regina Coeli

My predecessors in the Deanic Faith, celebrated this on 14th Maia / 1st May alongside Maia’s Day. This is far too confusing. I celebrate it on the crescent moon. Clan Jana celebrate on the last Sunday of Maia – 28th, this year 14th May.

This is the first time that I have performed (and adapted) the The Moonrite of Gifts of Clan Jana, even though I did not have all the correct equipment, may Dea forgive me. 23rd Maia / 10th May: (4 days after the Dark Moon): Crescent Moon. (For the Holy Daughter).

We celebrate Di Jana as Queen of Heaven, received by the children of Heaven and crowned by the high Janati. We are reminded that through Di Jana, meaning gateway, we shall return to Madria Dea (Mother God). If you have a statue, do crown Her with flowers. All present should ideally wear white. It is a joyous day and there is a legend that those with joyful hearts can laugh roses for the Queen of Heaven.

The Filianic Scriptures, New Celestial Union
Version (Second Edition, Third Update)

25 Verses
Title 1, Chapter 10
Chapter 10

9. When the time was at hand, two high Janati [replacing archangels] descended, one on either side of Her, and She went with them into heaven. 10. The children of heaven greeted Her, crying: “Hail, princess of the world; hail, queen of heaven.” And they placed a crown of stars about Her head.
11. The blue night was Her cloak, and the stars of the sky the crown about Her head, and the moon lay at Her feet. They cried again: “Hail, queen of heaven.” 12. Thus began Her dear and glorious reign; and for the children of heaven, Her very presence was the completion of their joy. 13. And She poured forth Her grace and blessing from Her hands upon them and upon the earth. And Her grace and blessing were as rays of perfect light which penetrate the heart and flood the soul.
14. She said to them: “Do not forget your sisters of the earth, but move yourselves among them and hear their voices; lend them succour and breathe with them in their upward aspiration. 15. And when a soul in true devotion passes from the earth, lead her to the portal of heaven and the garden of Abalon [replacing Avala], and give her rest, and provision her with treasures of the Spirit to help her on her way.”
16. And She entered the great temple of heaven, where the spirits of earth’s children were gathered at the sacrifice, even as their souls were gathered on the earth. 17. Then She stood at the great altar and took up a wheaten loaf, and spoke, saying: 18. “Like to the grains, My soul [replacing “body” as Di Jana does not have a body] was cut down by the scythe of separation and suffering [replacing death]; and like to the grains did it rise anew. 19. For I am the ear of grains that is reaped in silence.” 20. She said: “Like to the grains my soul [replacing “body” as Di Jana does not have a body] was broken between the stones of separation and suffering [replacing death].” And saying thus, She broke the bread between Her hands.
21. And She gave the fragments of the bread to the spirits of earth’s children, saying: “Here is My soul [replacing “body” as Di Jana does not have a body] that is broken for you. Eat My soul [replacing “body” as Di Jana does not have a body], that you may be one with My soul [replacing “body” as Di Jana does not have a body], and may be one soul [replacing “body” as Di Jana does not have a body] in Me.”
22. Then She poured out Her Spirit from hands into a great chalice, and Her Spirit lay as wine within the chalice. 23. She said: “Even as you have offered Me bread in sacrifice, so I give you the bread of My soul [replacing “body” as Di Jana does not have a body]; and as you have poured out libations of wine to Me, so I pour out the eternal libation of My eternal Spirit.” 24. And as it is performed above in the Spirit, so is it
reflected below in the soul [replacing “body” as Di Jana does not have a body] and the spirit, and through the reflection do earth’s children have
part in the real. 25. So were the things that are told in this book reflected in the hearts of the children of Dea [replacing maids], that all might read them and draw closer to She that acted them.

1:9:16: “Archangels,” or “Geniae” in other versions.

O, Dea, Supernal Sun,
O, Dea, Supernal Moon,

A: The Creed of Clan Jana

I believe in the Eternal One, Dea Madria; I believe that She is One and that She is also Three.

I believe in the Celestial Mother; She Who is Pure Light and Essence; the Matrix of the Earth and of the Heavens and of all the infinite cosmos.

I believe in Her Holy Daughter; She Who is Perfect Love and Form; the Ruler of all the energies of creation; She Who is the Holy Soul of the World.

And I believe that there is She Who stands beyond these Two, Whose Name has not been spoken upon this Earth; She Who is Pure Life and Source, for She is the Beginning and the End, the First Principle and the Final Cause, the unoriginated Origin of Being, the Great Mother of all that is and all that is not; She Who Is.

I believe in the Seven Janati, the Seven Great Powers of Dea. I believe that they are the Seven Living Streams of Virtue who flow from the Mother and that guided by these Living Streams, I will rise to Perfection and eternally abide in the Supernal Realm of Her Love.

Blessed is She.

She then dips her two forefingers into libation bowl of wine and sprinkles a few drops onto the Sacrifice of bread.. This action is repeated three times. She then traces the Fora again over the bread.

H: O, (Celestial Mother), ( O, Holy Daughter), (O, Great Mother, Mysteria), as we drink Your Wine and eat of Your Bread, may Your Divine Spirit be infused within our being.
A: bow.

(Everyone present is offered the chalice (or the wine may be poured into very small glasses and distributed) and the sacred bread. Any remaining wine in the chalice is either consumed by the H or is poured out onto the ground at the end of the Rite. The libation bowl is to be reserved until the Rite is complete.

Dark beyond the light and Light beyond the Darkness.

Silver Light of the darkling forests, send us forth in the protection of Your Spirit that no profane thing may enter into us.

Grant us to see all things with delight that are lovely and to glory and increase in force and energy.

Fill us with wonder in the sight of the seas and of the heavens and of every place wherein You are.

Commander of the roaring wave, help us to turn from all that is low or inglorious neither with anger nor with pain, but to know that in You we stand above all such things.

Guiding Light of the faithful soul, fill the deepest caverns of our spirit with the exhilaration of Your love. Send us forth upon the world as torchbearers of Your delight and grant us strength in You and in ourselves that we may value all things rightly, regardless of the consuming weight of the profane and the frailty of all that is beautiful.

H: Let us bless the Queen of Heaven.
A: Blessed is She.
H: Let us thank the Seven Janati of Power.
A: Thanks be to the Seven Janati.

A: Trace the Fora over themselves and say:
In the Name of the Mother, and of the Daughter, and of the Great Mother.

Blessed is She.

H: Thus it is and thus may it remain.
H: This Rite is Ended.
A: Blessed is She.

The libation wine is poured out onto the Earth by the H who says, while pouring, Hail, Holy Mother, Hail, Holy Daughter, Hail, Great Mother.
Blessed is She.

Four Extra Ordinary Days

Four Extra Ordinary Days

I differ during these 4 days in my calendar from Clan Jana. This is due to my life partner celebrating his birthday on March 20 or Hiatus.
I also cannot lessen my food/drink intake with a fast. Therefore I have given up chocolate in all forms as I recognised that I had an unhealthy addiction to it.

2016 is a leap year, so this is how I organise my calendar every year:

First Extra Ordinary Day
28 Moura / March 18th
(The last day of the Deanic circle of the year)

The Fast of the Fora

Light Beyond The Dark

The Great Mother as the Life and Veiled Origin of Eternity, Dark beyond the light and the Light beyond the Darkness.
Day of Fast, for those without medical conditions.

Before midnight, my predessesors in the faith would extinguish all candles and hearthfires (electrical lighting, gas fired central heating boilers and gas oven hobs).

I am going to say my Moura Rosary in full with option 2

Here is the link

Directional Circle

I visualise the Fora as a three dimensional figure in glowing gold, with the three lines running north-south, east-west and up-down, all intersecting at the centre, where there is a glowing golden sphere.

This is the one dimensional Fora gesture Here is the link

Let us spend this time in self-reflection and examination. Let us pray that Dea will help us to be faithful to our individual Soul Path and may we always remember that our every act is a choice which either leads us closer to or further away from Dea, Our Divine Mother.

Second Extra Ordinary Day
No date / March 19th
Beyond space and before time
Not a part of the old year nor of the new
A year and a day

Diana hunting by moonlight

Diana hunting by moonlight

Remembering the Holy Daughter as She Descends through the Realms in order to be with us and guide us back to the Union with the Celestial Mother.
Females may choose to wear a veil on this day. Men may wear a beret or Dalix beanie style hat with no cuff, if they so desire.
Day of Fast, for those without medical conditions.

Unless I take the day off work, I cannot reduce activity to a minimum and pray ceaselessly, which would be my natural inclination.
I am not a nun in a closed Order.

The time has come to turn your heart into a temple of fire.

“The time has come to turn your heart into a temple of fire.”
I do pray that my heart temple be fueled and bright, that my soul be pure and good – worthy of carrying my Spirit to the Celestial Realm to be re-united with Dea.

My predessesors in the faith, would be without light, heat or cooking. A physical reminder of the furthest a soul could wander away from Dea before being guided back.

Madria (Priestess) Erin, of Clan Columba – a youth ministry in Britain, sang her poem about The Holy Daughter’s Moura Descent – which is very talented of her.

Third Extra Ordinary Day
Official Hiatus / No date / March 20th
Life Partner’s Birthday
Spring Equinox

Because of my life partner celebrating his birthday on March 20, I do not mark this day as the official Hiatus.
I celebrate his life as my best friend, soul mate, life companion.

Spring (aka Vernal) Equinox

Astronomical seasons meanwhile start on a different dates each year and totally vary in length, depending on the Earth’s 23.5 degree tilt on its rotational axis as well as its orbit around the Sun.

Spring and Autumn equinoxes (equal day and night) and the Summer (longest day) and Winter (longest night) solstices mark the start of the astronomical seasons each year. The word ‘equinox’ itself actually means ‘equal’ (equi) and ‘night’ (nox).

The dates of these change each year as they are dependent on the Earth’s position. The Earth is closest to the Sun, known as perihelion, in early January and furthest away, aphelion, in early July.

In 2016 the astronomical spring will start on March 20 with the spring equinox and end on June 19.

The term vernal might be bit confusing and ambiguous as it is derived from the two latin terms ver and autumnus; meaning spring and autumn. The reason is apparently the opposite seasonal changes in the different hemispheres of the earth.

sun and moon goddess

My Spiritual Thoughts

My own thoughts upon the Spring Equinox day are two-fold.
For on the earth, the view is of equal day and night.
1. That Jana as Princess of The World brings harmony and balance.
2. An earthly sign that Heavenly Mother Mari as supernal sun and World Soul Jana as supernal moon are showing us on earth their Divine Unconditional Love for every soul on earth (in manifest planes of existence).

Fourth Extra Ordinary Day in a seperate post.
